LSU to host a seven hour line up of events at Holiday Spectacular 2016

BATON ROUGE, La., LSU will host a night of festive activities, open to students, teachers, staff and the community. Activities begin on November 29th and everyone is encouraged to attend the spirited events.

Those interested in attending have a lineup of events to choose from. Events include Christmas Tree Sale, Season’s Readings Book Sale, Holiday Performances, Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration, 27th Annual Holiday on Campus, LSU Christmas Tree Lighting and LSU President’s Late Night Breakfast.

There will be no tickets required, nor fees to attend the events Season’s Readings, Holiday Performances and the LSU Christmas Tree Lighting. Children of students, faculty, and staff will have the opportunity to attend a holiday carnival, the 27th Annual Holiday on Campus. The President’s Late Night Breakfast is free to LSU students, however, students will need to bring a Tiger Card LSU ID.

Attendees of the Holiday on Campus event are encouraged to bring new and unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Nonperishable food items are also encouraged and will benefit the LSU Food Pantry.

Campus Life supports and advises six student organizations that uphold the three tenets: Geaux BIG Baton Rouge, Homecoming Committee, Kitchens on the Geaux, Leading Streak, Student Activities Board, and Volunteer LSU. Campus Life also has oversight of the more than 300 student organizations at LSU.
