LSU provides its students with an opportunity to decrease stress from upcoming midterms

Students of LSU received the opportunity to decrease their stress levels before finals by attending the school’s Auxiliary Services’ De-Stress Fest.

Auxiliary Services manages the LSU Student Union and supports the academic success of LSU by providing services of the highest quality.

“The closing weeks of the term can be extremely challenging for students. With final exams on the horizon, graduation, and packing up to travel home, this event is designed to help students relax and recharge,” said April Frank, a manager at the bookstore.

Finals testing week is almost here and many on-campus events like this will be taking place in order to provide students with a way of minimizing stress levels through interactive activities and a fun environment.

The De-Stress Fest took place on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 2-6 p.m. in Barnes & Noble Bookstore at LSU. Students of the university were allowed to attend the event.

“Our De-Stress Fest event allows students to take a break from studying, connect with friends and just unwind with fun activities and more at the bookstore,” said Frank.

The event provided a variety of activities, which included playing calming music and making stress balls. Coloring stations were set up, and coloring books were distributed to students attending the event. Students were offered an array of snacks and more.

Students who are feeling the weight of upcoming final exams or school, in general, were encouraged to attend the De-Stress Fest to help relieve some of that stress.
